Social Rides

Thursday nights

A Social bike ride run by Glasgow Gals to ladies get back into cycling, or maybe its the start of your cycling journey. This is a regular weekly ride meeting at various locations in Glasgow.

We meet at 6pm and ride out at 6.30pm until 7.30pm. We welcome anyone bringing their own bike and helmet, and we do have a limited number of bikes available for hire. Please contact us on our facebook if you wish to hire a bike.

To join us on official Glasgow Gals club rides/ meet ups or the Thursday evening Ride Social, you do not need to have British Cycling Membership, but you must be aware that you are responsible for yourself and are not covered by any insurance (unless you have your own).

Please remember to bring a front white light and a rear red light during the darker months. This is a legal requirement when riding in the dark. We would also request that you keep them on a steady setting.

BEGINNERS

If you’re new to cycling or haven’t been on a bike in a while, get in touch before coming on one of our Social Rides.

Last year you hired me a bike and helmet at a minimal cost, taught me some bike skills, got me confident enough to ride a bike from Glasgow Green to the Cunningar Loop and back and I met some lovely gals. I know it's not a huge amount of money but the gals made a huge difference to my life last year. Can't wait for this outbreak to be over and join you all again soon on a Thursday night.
